A whitening process for teeth describes the process of restoring the natural color of teeth by removing stains from the tooth surface. Whiteners are cleaning agents that can be found in some toothpaste and mouth rinses.

Bleaching teeth refers to whitening teeth beyond their natural color. Active ingredients like hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide are bleaching agents most often used in teeth bleaching processes.

While the ADA has defined the differences between teeth whitening and teeth bleaching, often the terms are used interchangeably. At the end of the day, most patients are looking to have the color of their teeth improved and brightened, no matter how this is achieved. If you’re interested in improving your smile, let’s look at the options.

For a brighter, healthier and younger-looking smile, teeth-whitening is the safe, speedy and simple solution.
Having beautifully white teeth can do wonders for our confidence, helping us to look and feel better, so it’s no wonder that teeth whitening treatments are very much en vogue. Having your teeth whitened is a simple and effective way of improving your smile and can even make you look ten years younger! Our daily lifestyles can have a detrimental effect on the color of our teeth, with food and drink such as coffee, tea and red wine all contributing to stains and discoloration. Fortunately, Beyond Smiles offers a gentle and predictable tooth whitening service that reverses the effects of staining.

At Beyond Smiles, we use the latest, non-invasive tooth whitening technologies to ensure you achieve outstanding results. The pain-free, three-stage process is simple and safe, whilst being highly effective.
The Three-Step Whitening Process

Stage One

We will take an accurate impression of your teeth, which is sent to our specialist dental technicians, who will create bespoke hand-made whitening trays that fit comfortably around your teeth.

Stage Two

At your second teeth-whitening appointment, our team will demonstrate how to use the trays with a specially crafted whitening gel, which we match to your particular needs. This ensures the best possible finish for a perfect smile. Your bespoke, simple-to-use teeth-whitening kit can then be used at home for two to three weeks.

Stage Three

Once you have completed a two to three week course using the whitening gel at home, we will invite you for a third appointment, where we will analyse the results of your treatment. We will record the shade of your teeth before and after treatment, so you can see for yourself how much whiter your teeth have become.
